Hygiene Audit Systems welcomes new EHP to the team...
We are pleased to introduce Paul O’Day to the Head Office consultancy team at Hygiene Audit Systems. Paul, an extremely experienced Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP), has previously worked for a number of local authorities in and around the Home Counties and London.
His move to our offices in St Albans has not taken Paul far from his last employers, St Albans City and District Council, where he was considered part of ‘a highly competent enforcement team.’ His particular interest in law, legal challenge and prosecutions, means that Paul is well-placed to advise clients on avoiding the pitfalls of legal action. Paul spent 14 years in local government, which he says to have found extremely rewarding, and will now be applying his knowledge to the private sector, offering technical and strategic food safety consultancy to our diverse range of businesses around the UK and overseas. Paul’s expertise in health & safety matters will be a valuable asset to our team of Chartered EHPs.
Out of work Paul’s interests include running, cycling (he completed the Land's End to John O’Groats ride) and mountaineering. Paul has climbed in Nepal, Ecuador, Mexico, Tanzania, and Bolivia. Not all expeditions being incident free; in 2004 Paul needed to be air lifted from a 6000m peak after suffering from pulmonary oedema in the Himalayas. Fortunately Paul made a full recovery and has since climbed higher and more difficult peaks.
